Kevin Owens Names WWE Match That He Still Can’t Believe Happened

WWE’s Kevin Owens has reflected on his amazing achievement of competing in back to back WrestleMania main events, while singling out one for being a “pinch yourself moment.”

With Owens facing off against Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38 and teaming with Sami Zayn the year after to win the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, choosing between his two WrestleMania main event matches is an extremely tough task.

Speaking with Spencer Love Of Wrestling, Owens was tasked with doing just that, attempting to single one out higher than the other, to which he replied:

“It sounds like I’m trying to get out of it easily (from answering the question), but there’s really no words to describe either experience.

“The best way I can describe it, is when I look back at both of these nights, I kinda can’t believe they happened, you know?

“That I found myself in those situations, in that spot, getting to do that, and the circumstances (of) both years were so incredible.”

Despite being hard to separate, Owens did ultimately give the nod to WrestleMania 38 and his match with Austin, highlighting the sheer absurdity that it even took place at all as the deciding factor.

Owens said:

“I think it’s still more unbelievable to me that I wrestled Stone Cold Steve Austin 19 years after his last match — in the main event of WrestleMania

“That’s just … I don’t know. It’s one of those pinch yourself to make sure it’s real kinda moment. I’ve done that a lot over the last year-and-a-half since it happened.

“But, both those moments are things I’ll look back on when I’m done and think, ‘I was very, very lucky to get to experience those things.'”

Aside from the two ‘Mania main events, Owens has racked up enough accolades to be considered a future Hall of Famer.
