Last week on Smackdown Live, Shane McMahon fired Kevin Owens following the former’s King of the Ring semi-final match with Chad Gable.
To follow up on this, WWE has revealed that Shane McMahon will be discussing his decision on tonight’s show.
Will @shanemcmahon rescind his decision and give @FightOwensFight another shot at supporting his family? #SDLive https://t.co/MxR2R5MwDN

Many people have speculated that KO will still appear on Smackdown tonight despite his firing.
However, PWInsider is reporting that Owens is not backstage for tonight’s TV taping in Atlanta and will not be appearing on the show.
This comes after it was reported that Kevin Owens will actually be making his return to NXT tomorrow night on the brand’s USA Network debut.
It is not known whether this appearance will be a one-off, or if NXT is Kevin Owens’ new home for the foreseeable future.
