Kurt Angle On Who He Believes Is The Greatest Wrestler Ever

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has now revealed who he thinks deserves to be called the greatest wrestler of all time.

Kurt Angle had an eventful career in WWE. According to the former Olympian, the greatest ever wrestler was a competitor he’s never faced one-on-one.

On his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle stated that he believes Bret Hart is the greatest wrestler of all time. Angle named Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Ric Flair and himself as honourable mentions.

Arguing that Flair had a different skillset to Hart, Angle noted that Hart, in his opinion, is the best overall technician he has ever seen.

“It is Bret Hart because I believe that he is the greatest wrestler of all time. I believe that his in-ring performance, there is nobody better. I would say Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit are close, even myself, but I still put Bret up there.

“Don’t get me wrong, a Ric Flair needs to be up there too because he is the man and his technique was far superior, but he was, you know, he did a lot of, Ric was a great wrestler that could help people get interested in the psychology of the match, but he was also very entertaining.

“He took a lot of crazy Ric Flair bumps. The forward bump. The bump off the top of the rope. You know, it was pretty, you knew what he was going to do, and you’d want him to do it. So, he was different in his technique. Bret hart was just the best overall technician I have ever seen in my life.”

Angle and Hart have never wrestled each other. The 2 were reportedly to have a match in 2003, but Hart couldn’t physically work a match at that time.

Hart was recently mentioned by Steve Austin, who explained why their WrestleMania 13 encounter was special to him. In an interview, Hart reacted to WWE reportedly banning leg slaps.

Daniel Bryan is one of the best technical wrestlers currently on the WWE roster. According to Bryan, he wants to wrestle for other companies and WWE at the same time.
