Kurt Angle has confirmed that he has turned down offers from both WWE and AEW since his wrestling retirement.
Speaking with WhatCulture during WrestleMania 38 weekend, Angle stated that he didn’t feel the offers were right for him at that time.
Not ruling out a run with either company, Angle said:
“I’m leaving it open. I’ve gotten offers from both companies (WWE and AEW), didn’t accept them, didn’t feel it was right at that particular time, but if they come up with something that I feel is worth it, I will do it.”
Angle worked as a producer following his wrestling retirement in 2019, before he was released from his contract in April 2020.
The Olympic gold medallist previously noted that he had received a contract offer from AEW, as well as IMPACT Wrestling.
Angle was set to return to WWE TV earlier this year, but plans for his appearance were scrapped. You can read details on the scrapped appearance right here.
