Lita Praises ‘Insane’ AEW Lights Out Match

WWE Hall of Famer Lita has praised Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa for tearing the house down during their Lights Out match earlier this year.

Lita was involved in many extreme moments throughout her WWE career. The former Women’s Champion has noted that it was great that Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa got the spotlight they did for their Lights Out match in March.

Speaking on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, Lita pointed out that the two competitors didn’t hold back. Stating that the duo tore the house down, Lita said:

“I did (watch it), not initially. But holy s**t, right? It was insane. It was great that they got that spotlight. But you need a moment that brings you up from a wrestler that people have heard about to (someone) that knocks your stock up.

“I think Thunder Rosa won the match, but it’s one of those that’s just like, it doesn’t matter. They just, like, tore the house down. There’s no counterpoint or counterargument. That was an awesome match! They fully went for it: not for gender or amount of time in the business. They went for it and delivered. It was crazy.”

Britt Baker went on to win the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing in May. Baker has defended the AEW women’s division, arguing that some fans just don’t want to enjoy the product.

Also during the interview, Lita revealed that she almost quit WWE during a controversial storyline.
