Night one of WrestleMania 39 ended in incredible fashion, when Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn unseated the Usos to become the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
The match ended a near year long story between the two teams, and ended a title reign of the Usos that lasted for over 600 days.
However, it appears as though Owens and Zayn will not be champions for that long, anywhere near that long, in fact.
Originally, WWE was set to hold King and Queen of the Ring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 27, but that is no longer the case.
Today, WWE announced that the King and Queen of the Ring event in Saudi Arabia had been cancelled, instead being named ‘WWE Night of Champions’.
Night of Champions was an event WWE held from 2007’s Vengeance event until 2015, with the draw of the show being that every championship would be defended on the show.
This brings up a bit of a problem, as Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn rather famously do not travel out to Saudi Arabia for WWE’s events in the Kingdom, meaning that is entirely possible, if not even incredibly likely, that the Usos recapture the titles from Owens and Zayn sometime between now and May 27.
