A new report has revealed major changes coming to the upcoming AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event.
All Elite Wrestling has announced that this year’s Forbidden Door event will take place on Sunday, June 30 from Long Island, New York.
The yearly pay-per-view is a co-branded show with AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling. However, there has been reports and rumors that Forbidden Door may feature other promotions in 2024.
Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, NJPW executive Rocky Romero discussed the NJPW Resurgence event and also addressed AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
While clarifying that Forbidden Door will always be an AEW/NJPW co-promotional event, Romero revealed that STARDOM will “definitely” be part of this year’s show.
Meanwhile, Romero said that CMLL will “very likely” be involved in the event. He followed up that the sky is the limit.
It is worth note that both STARDOM and CMLL has a partnership with both NJPW and AEW.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 when they become available.
