Two Major WWE NXT Names Potentially Set For Main Roster Call Ups After WrestleMania

There has been a potential spoiler on two major WWE NXT stars that may be set for a main roster call up after WrestleMania.

The rivalry between Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams has been the lead story on the NXT brand over the past few months, with Hayes turning on Williams back at NXT Vengeance Day and revealing himself as the mystery attacker of Williams back in October.

The pair are set for a grudge match at NXT Stand & Deliver, in a match that may end up being one, or potentially both, man’s last match on the NXT brand.

Hayes had previously made appearances on the SmackDown brand back in January, as well as Williams himself making a surprise appearance to help Hayes on the show to a great reaction from the fans.

In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Carmelo Hayes has been set for a main roster call up since before the Royal Rumble event, with him expected to move up to the main roster full-time in the Summer.

As for Williams, it was noted that officials took notice of the reaction he got in his surprise appearance on SmackDown back in January.

It was reported that there have been pitches for both men to continue their ongoing rivalry on the WWE main roster after Stand & Deliver, but Trick’s future plans beyond the event are still unclear.

Fightful also noted that there have been officials pitching for Hayes and Williams’ match to be the main event of Stand & Deliver, though that is not yet locked in.
