Major Update On WWE’s ‘Undisputed’ Championships? WWE

UPDATE: It appears this may have just been a temporary issue with WWE’s website as it has now been reverted back to listing Roman Reigns as solely the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as only holding one championship instead of two separate ones (although mistakenly listed as only SmackDown Tag Team Champions instead of Undisputed Tag Team Champions).

Last month, WWE took steps to correct the ongoing issues with their championship titles, which included the renaming of the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.

Part of the change saw Roman Reigns be presented with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship title upon reaching 1000 days as the Universal Champion.

After Roman was presented the title, he was listed as the “Undisputed WWE Universal Champion’ on WWE’s roster page, while still carrying the WWE and Universal Championships around on television.

WWE listed Reigns as just the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on WWE.com where he was formerly listed as both the WWE Champion and Universal Champion.

At the same time as this change, WWE listed Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions rather than as the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

Well, today (June 28), that change has once again been reverted, with Roman now listed as the WWE Champion and Universal Champion once again, while Owens and Zayn are again listed as the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Champions rather than the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
