UPDATE: Another update on the health of Randy Orton has emerged – read more at this link.
A major absent WWE star is in Detroit ahead of tomorrow night’s SummerSlam event in Ford Field.
Former WWE Champion Randy Orton has not been seen on WWE television since May 2022, where he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to the Usos.
There have been numerous updates on Orton’s status in the months since, with the latest update being that he had not yet been cleared for a return.
There has been some speculation that Orton could make a surprise return at SummerSlam, and while that’s far from confirmed, he will be in town for the show.
Per PWInsider, Randy is in Detroit ahead of the show.
It’s important to note that Orton being in Detroit doesn’t mean he will appear on the show, as he was also present in Los Angeles for WrestleMania 39.
Doctors have allegedly told Orton that returning to the ring would not be a good idea, though he does still intend on returning, and has been working out in recent weeks.
Another WWE star that fans have speculated about returning at SummerSlam is Bray Wyatt, with the latest on his status being available here.
