AEW star Malakai Black (who also happens to be husband of WWE star Zelina Vega) has commented on her loss at WWE Backlash.
After Zelina Vega put on a hard fought battle against Rhea Ripley for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship and her real life husband, AEW star Malakai Black has now responded.
As the match concluded, Black tweeted about the emotional moment saying:
“Your moment in the sun, win or loss, your moment.”
Vega may not have won the match but put on an impressive showing, not only getting in exciting offense in the match but also living out the dream of everyone with a Latino Mother who has watched Rhea Ripley over the past several months.
Zelina Vega grabbed a chancla from her own Mother who sat at ringside for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship bout and threw it at Ripley as so many have been begging for someone to do throughout the storyline.
In the end, Vega did not capture the victory but she did clearly capture the hearts of the San Juan, Puerto Rico crowd who cheered for her despite the loss, singing and celebrating her after the match completely disregarding the actual match finish.
