Following his long-awaited AEW return at the Collision premiere episode on June 17, Miro has given a potential future star of the company some high praise.
Speaking to Good Karma Wrestling, Miro named The Mogul Embassy’s Toa Liona as one of his best friends in the business and someone he has gotten to know especially well after being approached for advice by the upstart years ago.
Miro revealed:
“This kid, Toa Liona, he just started recently in AEW.
“He’s a guy who is hungry, he came and asked me for advice and for help.
“That was maybe a couple of years ago. Ever since, we have kind of been training together in the gym, in the ring, and I’m trying to show him and share my experience with him.
“He’s become a really good friend of mine, as well as somebody that I can give some knowledge. If he wants to listen, he does.”
Liona has primarily featured on ROH TV alongside Brian Cage and Gates of Agony partner Bishop Kaun, but they’ve featured more on AEW Dynamite recently now they’re also affiliated with Swerve Strickland.
Liona, Kaun and Cage together currently hold the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship, winning the title in December 2022.
