AEW star MJF has fired back at a WWE star on social media.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman is known for his scathing exchanges on Twitter with fans, but his target was from the opposite side of the wrestling world from the top AEW star.
As previously mentioned, Sheamus and Happy Corbin had a hilarious Twitter exchange in which they referenced Friedman’s signature scarf.
After a reply from MJF, Sheamus responded back by asking “who was he?”. This led to MJF cutting a promo within a tweet on the former two-time WWE Champion.
The guy you alluded to. Stop now or I’m gonna devour you. You can rock 6 inch lifts and play top guy, but you’ve been handed the ball multiple times and fell.
I’m glad you’re having a resurgence and finally figured out how to get over. It only took you a decade.
Took me 1 day.
Sheamus has seen the aforementioned resurgence after his epic battle against Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at Clash At The Castle on September 3.
Meanwhile, MJF recently returned to All Elite Wrestling at All Out where he won the Casino Ladder Match and confronted CM Punk after winning the AEW World Title.
The AEW World Championship has since been vacated following the fallout from the backstage brawl between CM Punk, Ace Steel and The Elite.
Jon Moxley will face Bryan Danielson in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions Finals for the vacant AEW World Title at Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 21.
