In what can only be described as a pointless odyssey on WWE SmackDown, Daniel Bryan was finally able to claim the Number 1 Contender’s spot on WWE Smackdown.
Bryan will now face The Fiend at Royal Rumble. Surprisingly, SmackDown officially opened with Bryan heading to the ring to kick off the in-ring action.

Corbin came out and cut a promo but was interrupted by Roman Reigns’ music. After Roman attacked Corbin, the match was delayed.
Later, Corbin refused to compete. So, the match was made into a singles match between Bryan and Miz. To no one’s shock, the match ended in a double DQ when Corbin’s goons attacked both men.
Later, it was made back into a Triple Threat. Ziggler interfered. Reigns got involved and the match was back to a one-on-one.
Ultimately, Miz tapped out to Daniel Bryan. Bryan won the right to face The Fiend at Royal Rumble.

After the match, we got a Firefly Fun House segment. Wyatt simply asked if Bryan was willing to let him in. Bryan did the Yes chant, but a lot of the crowd did not participate.
Is @WWEDanielBryan ready to let HIM in at #RoyalRumble?

Will Daniel Bryan be the one to beat The Fiend? Or is he just a placeholder feud until Roman Reigns wins The Royal Rumble match and can beat The Fiend at WrestleMania?
