Spoiler On Popular AEW Name Announced For New ROH Board Of Directors AEW/ROH

A spoiler has revealed that a popular AEW name has been announced for the new ROH Board of Directors.

On Sunday, June 4, Ring of Honor held their latest television tapings for upcoming shows on their weekly series on Honor Club at Universal Studios.

For both AEW and ROH, there hasn’t been many authority figures for either company, but this seems to have changed after this weekend.

At the ROH TV taping, AEW President and Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan announced a new ROH Board of Directors, which includes Stokely Hathaway and Jerry Lynn.

Hathaway hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since The Firm Deletion on the May 5 edition of AEW Rampage. He first made a name for himself in the wrestling business as a manager in Ring of Honor back in 2014 and 2015.

The former leader of The Firm recently posted an ominous video of him in Tony Khan’s office, replacing photos and memorabilia in the room with things closer to his heart.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that Stokely has been pushing for a new role that looks like it will be taking shape after this announcement.

Meanwhile, Jerry Lynn is a former ROH World Champion after making his way to the company in 2008. Fightful reported that he will serve as a babyface authority figure alongside a heel Hathaway.

These roles will only be in kayfabe with Tony Khan still continuing all of his duties, including booking the shows.

As far as Stokely Hathaway on AEW TV, the report doesn’t confirm if he is done in the company specifically despite The Firm being wrapped up following The Firm Deletion.
