New Title Match Added To WWE Payback 2023

On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, a championship match was confirmed for WWE Payback for United States Champion Rey Mysterio.

Austin Theory beat LA Knight last week to earn a title shot against the man who beat him for the US Title just a week prior, that being Mysterio.

On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, it was confirmed that the Mysterio vs Theory rematch will take place at WWE Payback.

After last week’s edition of the Grayson Waller Effect went sideways featuring guests Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio, Mysterio is facing off against the host Waller tonight on SmackDown.

The first match of the night is Rey Mysterio taking on Grayson Waller after the show began with a touching tribute to Bray Wyatt.

After attempted interference from Theory was thwarted by Santos Escobar, it was Mysterio who picked up the win over Waller.
