The next challengers for a WWE Championship was revealed on tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown (April 14) live on FOX,
A championship celebration was interrupted on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown (April 14) and by the end of the segment, the newest challengers looked to be revealed.
While the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were in the ring for their championship celebration, their good time was short lived.
Despite getting a great crowd reaction and lovely set of pyro to celebrate their big win on Monday Night Raw over Becky Lynch and a substitute champ in Trish Stratus, after Lita was attacked backstage.
While the crowd was delighted to see the new champs, there were two people from the back who were less than enthused.
Breaking up the celebration was Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green.
With Deville and Green interrupting the Championship celebration, they had some (legitimate) questions about the tag team championship victory, firstly – how did they win if they didn’t even beat one of the champs, Lita?
At any rate, Liv and Raquel’s response was unafraid as they pledged that they would face a challenge for the titles from Deville and Green before chaos erupted when the champs attacked the interlopers in the ring.
Tonight’s SmackDown (April 14) kicked off with a big segment between The Bloodline (Jimmy and Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa) and their old foes Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, joined by their latest problem.
Also on the Friday night show, Xavier Woods of New Day is taking on L.A. Knight after the two have recently been doing some backstage feuding.
There is also set to be the return of Shinsuke Nakamura and a championship celebration for the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
