Top Star Comments On Last Match Following News Of Potential WWE Interest WWE

A top star has commented on their last match following the news of potential WWE interest.

At IMPACT Slammiversary, Alex Shelley defeated Nick Aldis to retain the IMPACT World Championship in the main event.

Following the pay-per-view, reports started to circulate that indicated that Aldis was finished up with his run with IMPACT and had gained interest from WWE.

On Tuesday, July 18, Aldis took to Twitter to express how much of a honor to be in the Slammiversary main event. He wrote:

#Slammiversary was a fantastic ppv start to finish and I was honored to be in the main event. It was a huge challenge following all the great matches on the card, and I felt we offered something totally different and unique. The future of @IMPACTWRESTLING is in good hands.

Nick Aldis made his return to IMPACT Wrestling at Rebellion 2023 in April and spent three months with the promotion during this most recent run. As of this writing, Aldis is 100% a free agent.

Alex Shelley was confronted by former IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander following his win over Aldis at Slammiversary.
