A current NXT star worked not one but two WWE main roster live events this past weekend as their trajectory up the WWE totem pole continues.
WWE held a show in Kennewick, Washington on Saturday, September 16 and then another in Boise, Idaho the following day.
Both shows featured former NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton challenging Becky Lynch for the aforementioned NXT Women’s Title.
Lynch won the title from Stratton on NXT TV on Tuesday, September 12.
Prior to this past weekend, the only match Stratton had worked at a main roster show was a pre-show dark match before SmackDown in July against Kiana James when SmackDown was in Orlando, which is the home of NXT and its talents.
Stratton has featured briefly on WWE Raw for the past few weeks, as well as at Payback, in the leadup to her match with Lynch.
The last NXT talents who worked main roster house shows were Pretty Deadly and Zoey Stark, who were called up to the main roster full-time not too long after.
So while this doesn’t confirm a Stratton call-up is happening, it is a sign that points in that direction, so we’ll keep you updated.
