Omos Says SmackDown Star Prepared Him For Brock Lesnar WrestleMania 39 Match

The Nigerian Giant Omos has credited the preparation for his WrestleMania 39 encounter with Brock Lesnar to a top SmackDown star.

Speaking with Daily Mail Online, Omos recalled his earlier experience feuding with Bobby Lashley the year prior, stating that it was essential in preparing him for The Beast.

Omos said:

“I learnt a lot (working with Bobby Lashley). Before this Mania, I told Bobby thank you.

“Brock is very intense. If I hadn’t worked with Bobby, I don’t think I’d have been prepared as a worker to face Brock.

“So me wrestling him got me prepared. That’s not possible without the work I put in with Bobby Lashley.”

A year prior to his match with Lesnar, Omos and Lashley locked horns, with the All-Mighty overcoming the 7ft 3in giant.

However, Omos would get his win back on the two-time WWE Champion at the following month’s WrestleMania Backlash event.

Since WrestleMania 39 fans have seen little of Omos on WWE TV, last competing at May’s Backlash Premium Live Event against Seth Rollins.

Despite this, the 29-year-old has remained active on WWE’s live event scene and has been present backstage.
