Paige’s role at the upcoming World Association of Wrestling Frightmare IV event has now been revealed, following previous teases.
After Paige (Saraya) confirmed that she’d be finishing up with WWE in July, WAW, the promotion run by her family, announced her return for the October 15 show.
The promotion had teased Saraya’s return to the ring, however Saraya isn’t currently scheduled to compete on this show.
Saraya will now be a special referee for a bout between her brothers Roy Knight and Zak Zodiac. She announced this during an appearance via live video during the promotion’s August 27 show.
Saraya last wrestled during the December 2017 WWE Madison Square Garden house show. She announced her in-ring retirement in April 2018, but promised to return to the ring following her recent WWE departure.
She has stated that she only wants to return to the ring for a ‘really, really big moment‘, but noted that she’s willing to work with other wrestling promotions in the meantime.
Over 20 names have finished up with WWE this year. Check out a list of every WWE departure of 2022 at this link.
