Paige On If She Wants To Work With Other Big Companies Following WWE Departure WWE

Former Diva’s Champion Saraya (fka Paige) has discussed her wrestling future, commenting on her options following her WWE departure.

Saraya left WWE in July after her contract expired. The star has teased a return to the ring, following her wrestling retirement in 2018.

Speaking with Renee Paquette on The Sessions, Saraya noted that she’ll only return to the ring for a big occassion:

“I feel fantastic, I really do feel fantastic. I still have the mental block of, ‘Oh my God, if I was to get in the ring, what if?’ If I was to have to be in the ring, it would be for a really big moment to wrestle.

“I’ll do promos here and there, for big companies, but to actually wrestle, it would have to be a really big moment. I would love to face Sasha again, for real. It ended the way it did.

“I’m like Ric Flair, I’m gonna have a ton of retirements. Ric Flair, I’m going to be your age and be like, ‘My last one guys, I promise.’ (laughs)”

Saraya last wrestled during WWE’s December 2017 holiday tour. She re-injured her neck after receiving a move from Sasha Banks during the Madison Square Garden holiday house show. Saraya confirmed that she was stepping away from the ring in April 2018, before transitioning into a WWE ambassador role.

During the interview, Saraya noted that she holds no ill-will towards Banks.

Gail Kim recently noted that the door would be open if Saraya wanted to join IMPACT Wrestling, which you can read more about right here.
