Per Fightful Select, there have been internal discussions about possibly bringing in WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam for the event.
Fightful noted that one pitch AEW had was for Rob Van Dam to face off against FTW Champion Jack Perry at All In or All Out.
The report noted that none of this has been confirmed for the shows at the time of writing.
Jack Perry has notably been finding himself taking issue with a number of former ECW stars in recent weeks, holding Taz’ FTW Title, and getting confronted by Jerry Lynn on the July 26 episode of Dynamite.
Rob Van Dam, of course, is also an ECW alumnus, fuelling speculation that he will show up to face off against Perry.
Van Dam is still a semi-active in-ring competitor, most recently competing for independent promotion IWC in April.
While he hasn’t wrestled on US TV since leaving IMPACT in September 2020, Rob Van Dam has since made several TV appearances for WWE.
The former WWE Champion was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, and has since made special appearances for the company, notably showing up to help out during the 2023 WWE Draft.
