Big Change Vince McMahon Made To WWE Raw Plans Revealed WWE

A new report has revealed the reason why AJ Styles appeared on WWE Raw.

On the May 29 episode of WWE Raw, SmackDown’s AJ Styles appeared to congratulate and show respect to Seth Rollins for defeating him at Night of Champions to become the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion.

Rollins and Styles then teamed up to defeat The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor in the main event.

Per PWInsider, the addition of AJ Styles to WWE Raw was a Vince McMahon call as well as a “last second” decision.

The report notes that portions of this week’s episode were reconfigured to include Styles appearing in the opening segment and teaming with Rollins at McMahon’s request.

However, the remainder of the broadcast was the same as originally planned. It was overall an easy night in terms of the creative, production and execution for the company on the show.

As previously reported, Fightful Select reported that Vince McMahon has been making changes to plans “remotely” instead of being backstage.
