We now know the reason All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has booked a big card for this coming Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite on May 12.
As we’ve previously reported on, the NBA is causing some future Dynamites to be rescheduled in the next few weeks, which the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes is the reason for next week’s stacked lineup.
The idea is to build up as much momentum as possible before the changes, as well as getting in the big pay-per-view angles so as many people as possible can see them.
The rescheduling will see the Double Or Nothing go-home Dynamite air at 10pm ET on Friday, May 28, and the episode after the pay-per-view will be on either Friday, June 4 or Saturday, June 5.
The card for this coming Wednesday’s show is as follows:
- Orange Cassidy vs. PAC – AEW World Championship #1 Contender Match
- Darby Allin (c) vs. Miro – TNT Championship
- Young Bucks (c) vs. Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian – World Tag Team Championship
- Jon Moxley (c) vs. Yuji Nagata – IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship
- Cody Rhodes to make Double Or Nothing announcement
- Jade Cargill interview
