Recently Released WWE Stars Return To The Ring WWE

Two former WWE NXT talents have now returned to the ring on the independent scene following their WWE departures.

A number of WWE stars were let go in late-September.

While the releases of main roster stars such as Dolph Ziggler and Shelton Benjamin received the most attention, there were several NXT stars who also left the company.

NXT names Sarah Baer and Gina Marie (Gina DeLucia) now look to have wrestled their first post-WWE matches, against each other.

Baer was set to face off against Marie in a ‘VIP match’ at the IWR Fall Brawl event on Thursday (November 9).

Baer had faced several top names including Roxanne Perez on NXT’s live event loop prior to her WWE release, after signing with WWE in August 2022.

Gina also signed with WWE in August 2022. She faced off against Ivy Nile at an NXT house show in May.
