Late last night, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Sadie Gibbs, Jimmy Havoc and Bea Priestley had all been removed from the official AEW roster page on their website. Following on from this, people assumed that their time with AEW was up.
We have now seemingly received some more concrete evidence of that, as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Havoc, Gibbs and Priestley have all been released from their AEW contracts.
AEW has released three roster members: Jimmy Havoc, Bea Priestley and Sadie Gibbs, confirmed by Dave Meltzer. As of this time, the reasons for the releases are not known.
AEW released a statement in June following the #SpeakingOut movement regarding Jimmy Havoc, who had been accused of varying degrees of abuse. They noted that Havoc was undergoing treatment for substance abuse and mental health-related issues.
Havoc’s last match came on the June 17 episode of Dynamite, where he teamed with Kip Sabian in a losing effort against Matt and Nick Jackson. He was removed from AEW television the following day following the allegations.
Sadie Gibbs and Bea Priestley wrestled less for AEW than Jimmy Havoc did. Bea Priestley worked eight matches for the promotion, with the final one coming in a tag team match win where she teamed with Nyla Rose on the March 11 episode of Dynamite.
Sadie Gibbs, who has confirmed her release from AEW on social media, wrestled just three times for the promotion, with none of those matches coming on AEW Dynamite. Her final match was a tag team match win on the October 30th episode of AEW Dark.
At this time, AEW has yet to formally announce the releases of Jimmy Havoc, Sadie Gibbs and Bea Priestley. For the latest updates, make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
