Former 205 Live lead writer Dewey Foley, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, has reportedly finished up with WWE.
Per PWInsider, Foley had made the choice to leave, and wasn’t cut by the company. The report noted that a source stated that Foley left the company in April.
Foley started WWE in 2015 as a writing assistant, before joining the creative team in early 2016.
He has performed a number of roles within WWE creative since, notably becoming the head writer for 205 Live in 2020.
When 205 Live ended in February, Foley took to Twitter to note:
It’s the end of an era ? #205Live was special to me. How do we create the most with a limited roster & MANY restrictions?
The Cruisers rocked it weekly, especially during the pandemic. I’m forever indebted to all talents who I crossed paths with because of it.
Thank you ??
Mick Foley recently stated that Dewey will be helping to promote the Foley Is Pod podcast during his social media break, tweeting:
A little message from the #HardcoreLegend
I will be taking a social media break, but my oldest son @DeweyHaveTo has direct orders to RT @FoleyIsPod
