Ever since its inception, WWE has been recording their episodes of NXT from Full Sail University in Tampa, Florida.
However, now that NXT is being broadcast live on the USA Network, WWE is reportedly considering moving the brand out of the small venue.
AEW: Dynamite is filmed in venues that can hold upwards of 10,000 people. Full Sail on the other hand only has the capacity to hold 400.
While this does give NXT a more independent show-style feel, it does make the show feel slightly less important than their Wednesday Night War opponents.
WWE has taken this on board and is reportedly considering holding shows outside of Florida in 2020, making NXT a touring brand like Raw and Smackdown.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE could be making the change next year:
“Regarding NXT in 2020, there is talk going around that they will continue to use Full Sail, just not every week, with the idea of doing some shows live at Full Sail and some in arenas outside Florida.”
