Report: Triple H & Stephanie McMahon Spoke To AEW Star After WarGames

The closing moments of the main event of NXT TakeOver: WarGames a few weekends ago saw Tommaso Ciampa hit Adam Cole with an Airade Crash from the top of the WarGames structure through a table.

The spot was dangerous, and many fans were left concerned for the state of both Cole and Ciampa heading into Survivor Series the following night.

After the match, the camera panned round to the crowd where AEW star Britt Baker was looking concerned and shocked. For those of you who might not be aware, Britt Baker is Adam Cole’s girlfriend.

This reportedly upset Triple H who was concerned that the incident would land Baker in hot water with her current employers.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Triple H was so concerned that he and Stephanie McMahon approached Baker after the show and spoke with her about the incident:

“If it wasn’t an accident, Triple H would have had to tell somebody beforehand, ‘hey get her on camera and I’ll pretend that I didn’t want it’ — I don’t believe that at all. He and Stephanie went to Britt Baker, talked to her about it. He was like, ‘Get her off camera!’ backstage in Gorilla from people I spoke to.”

AEW higher-ups seemingly didn’t care too much about the incident and Baker is not said to be in any trouble. The company even did a spoof of the incident on this week’s Dynamite.
