Rey Mysterio Wants Former UFC Champion To Step Into A WWE Ring WWE

US Champion Rey Mysterio has revealed that he hopes that a former UFC champion will make an appearance in a WWE ring.

At July’s AAA TripleMania XXXI event in Tijuana, two-time UFC Flyweight Champion Brandon Moreno made an appearance to accompany Team Baja to the ring for their bout against Team Chilango.

Speaking with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi, Rey Mysterio noted that prior to Moreno’s AAA appearance, Mysterio offered to teach him some moves in a pro-wrestling ring.

Discussing the possibility of Moreno making an appearance for WWE, Mysterio said:

“I saw a little bit of the footage on social media (of Brandon Moreno at AAA Triplemanía XXXI) and so, we had the podcast maybe a month before that happened and I was trying to convince him, ‘Bro, show me a little bit of MMA and I’ll teach you some of the ropes. Let’s get in the ring.’

“He goes, ‘Ah! I would love to.’ So, we were kind of joking it out but I believe he does have a passion for wrestling, for lucha, you know, so I would love to interact with him more in the future and hope that maybe one day he decides to step in a WWE ring.

Mysterio recently provided a big update on his in-ring future, revealing when he plans to retire.

Logan Paul will be appearing on SmackDown this week in a segment with Rey Mysterio.

It appears the two are headed for a match, likely at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4.
