To kick off tonight’s edition of WWE Raw, a special presentation to a current WWE world Champion as another new WWE title was unveiled.
Rhea Ripley accepted a brand new belt from Adam Pearce, as her previous championship has now been replaced by this one.
Unveiling the brand new Women’s World Championship, Rhea Ripley gladly picked up the new belt as the former Blue branded ‘SmackDown’ Women’s Championship has been retired.
This also happened with Asuka on this past Friday’s SmackDown, whose Raw Women’s Championship was replaced with the WWE Women’s Championship.
Ripley’s Women’s World Championship is essentially a copy of Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship but with a white strap, while Asuka’s WWE Women’s Championship is the same but for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Elsewhere, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio were promptly interrupted in the segment by none other than Cody Rhodes.
By the end of their back and forth, not only had Cody challenged Dominik for a match at the upcoming Money in the Bank premium live event in London, England, the challenge had been accepted.
However interestingly, not accepted by Dom himself, rather Rhea accepted on behalf of Dominik before Cody then faced off against The Miz for the final opportunity to enter the Money in the Bank ladder match.
