WWE legend Ric Flair has shared his pitch for an AEW Hall of Fame, explaining how the accolade could work despite the promotion’s short history.
While AEW was only founded in 2019, Ric Flair believes that it’s time for AEW to honor stars of past eras
Speaking on his To Be the Man podcast, Ric Flair noted that he thinks that an AEW Hall of Fame wing would spark some interest.
Explaining that he’d want AEW to honor notable names from the wrestling business, not just AEW stars, Flair said:
“I wish Tony would start a Hall of Fame. That would create a lot of interest.”
“Do it based on people who he thinks were good in the history of the business not just guys from AEW the last three years.”
AEW has honored wrestling legends in the past, with the inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Tournament taking place earlier this year.
Tony Khan has confirmed that this tournament will return in 2023, which you can read more about right here.
