Roman Reigns Says He’d Rather Face The Fiend Than Goldberg At WrestleMania

Yesterday at WWE Super ShowDown, Goldberg baffling defeated The Fiend Bray Wyatt to capture the Universal Championship. It is now believed that Goldberg will defend his title at WrestleMania against Roman Reigns.

This is interesting as original plans for WrestleMania had The Fiend defending the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, with Goldberg’s position on the card seemingly unclear.

The decision to have Goldberg defeat The Fiend for the title has left many fans unhappy and may have potentially even upset a top WWE star.

Speaking to the media earlier this month, Roman Reigns revealed that he would rather face The Fiend than Goldberg at WrestleMania:

“From a completely honest standpoint, I would much rather face “The Fiend.” He’s busted his ass all year long for it. No offense to Goldberg, I think he’s a great performer, he’s a great Superstar, but I’m into the future right now.”

Interestingly, before SmackDown’s launch on FOX in October 2019, Goldberg said that out of everyone on the WWE roster, the man he would like to face the most is Roman Reigns. It appears as if he is going to be getting his wish.

WWE has loaded tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, promising appearances from Goldberg and John Cena. As always WrestleTalk.com has you covered for live coverage of the show.
