The advertised main event of Starrcade last night was Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley in a Last Man Standing match. However, we instead were treated to a Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley match.
Despite this, Rusev still managed to attack Lashley to close out the show, and he might of received a new nickname in the process.
On commentary during the beatdown, Rusev was referred to as a “bad boy”. It seems like this might have been a hint at a new nickname, as Lana called Rusev the same thing in a backstage promo.
After the show, Lana cut the following promo on Rusev in which she called her husband “Bad Boy Rusev”:
“First of all, Rusev broke the law. Do you understand that I have filed multiple restraining orders — the first thing I did when I landed in Georgia, I went to the court and filed another restraining order so — he’s breaking the law!”
“Don’t you see that he’s a danger to society?! He’s a danger to you. Yes, thank me. Say ‘thank you.’ Say thank you for looking after my safety. Yes, I’m such a good human. I’m looking after your safety, I’m looking out for Georgia, the safety of the WWE Universe by getting these restraining orders against the monster Rusev, my ex-husband, I mean you just saw what he did again to my Bobby!”
“I mean he’s my Bobby and he just doesn’t care. He hurt him on Monday Night Raw and then again breaking the law. ‘Bad Boy Rusev,’ is that what we’re supposed to call him? Breaking the law, breaking the law, breaking the law. Bad Boy Rusev?”
Everybody should be thanking @LanaWWE for trying to protect the state of Georgia from "Bad Boy Rusev." #WWEStarrcade pic.twitter.com/ZuNFCpAwlB

All Elite Wrestling star Joey Janela is also referred to as ‘The Bad Boy”, so if WWE decides to trademark the name for Rusev, Janela might be forced to think of a new nickname.
