AEW Champion Pitches Major Interpromotional Title Vs Title Match AEW

AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya has teased a major title vs title bout against a notable former WWE star.

After stepping away from the ring for five years, Saraya looks intent to make up for lost time, capturing her first title in nearly a decade at All In (August 27) in front of her family and home country at Wembley Stadium and now setting her sights beyond AEW.

Speaking with Women’s Wrestling Talk, the 31-year-old was asked whether she had any interest in working for any independent promotions outside of AEW, to which she responded with a list of potential options.

Pitching a match against IMPACT Knockouts Champion Trinity (fka Naomi), Saraya said:

“WAW (World Association of Wrestling), of course. I don’t know about Indie promotions, but I would love to go against Trin (Trinity).

“Maybe I carry the AEW (women’s title) and then take the IMPACT championship off her and hell, I’ll go to New Japan and take that championship too and carry them around.

“I’m like Thanos with championship belts. I want to take them all. I’ll take Statlander’s belt (AEW TBS Champion). I’ll go on and get the trios championship. I’ll take them all.

Saraya even jokingly suggested that she wouldn’t be confined by divisions and would take aim at the men’s titles within AEW as well, saying:

“I’ll get MJF’s championship (AEW World Championship). I’m taking them all, Tony (Tony Khan). I’m coming to work and stealing the belts.

“Do I have a match? No, I’m just going to steal them. I’ll stick to outright stealing them.”

In recent weeks, Saraya’s Outcasts faction has been in disarray, with Toni Storm ruining Ruby Soho’s chances to capture the TBS Championship from Kris Statlander at All Out.

Elsewhere Saraya will undoubtedly have to be conscious of the return of former TBS Champion Jade Cargill to AEW TV on the most recent edition of Collision (September 9).
