Ex-WWE star Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) has provided a big update ahead of her heavily teased AEW debut.
It’s believed that the former ‘Sasha Banks’ will debut for AEW at the March 13 Dynamite Big Business show in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.
Former senior WWE writer Jennifer Pepperman is expected to be working closely with Mone, who she had worked with during her time as Sasha Banks in WWE, following her debut.
Mone has now revealed that she has left Japan, further fuelling speculation that she’s preparing for her first AEW in-ring appearance.
She took to her Instagram story to note:
Handled all my Big Business in Japan. See you all again this summer.
While in Japan, Mone presented the award for Best Slice of Life at the March 2 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
She was spotted with several celebrities at the awards ceremony, which you can view footage from at this link.
Mone hasn’t wrestled since suffering an ankle injury during the first ever NJPW STRONG Women’s Title match at NJPW Resurgence 2023.
Mercedes Mone recently responded to a challenge from a current WWE target, which you can read more about right here.
