Former WWE star Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) has shared an interesting response to a challenge made by a potential WWE target.
NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Giulia recently expressed interest in a match against Mone, noting that she will continue to defend the gold until she finds Mone.
Mercedes Mone has now taken to Twitter to respond to Giulia, using an interesting phrase.
Mone wrote:
You standing on big business or u just standing around!
YoU know where to find me Julia @giulia0221g 💰
Mone is of course expected to will make her AEW debut at Dynamite Big Business on March 13 in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, and her using the phrase “big business” in this tweet is further evidence of that.
It’s believed that former senior WWE writer Jennifer Pepperman will work closely with Mone, who she had worked with during her time as Sasha Banks in WWE, following her debut.
Pepperman joined the AEW creative team in February as Director of content – for more details on her role click here.
Mone hasn’t wrestled since suffering an ankle injury during the first ever NJPW STRONG Women’s Title match at NJPW Resurgence 2023.
Willow Nightingale won this bout and went on to drop the gold to Giulia in July 2023.
With WWE previously expressing interest in signing Giulia, it is expected that she’ll join WWE after fulfilling other commitments in Japan.
