The injury diagnosis of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has been revealed following his injury on Raw.
Seth Rollins suffered a legitimate injury during his World Heavyweight Championship defence against Jinder Mahal, and we now know more about the injury he suffered.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Rollins had told people backstage that he didn’t believe that he had sustained an ACL tear during the match, with one higher up noting that Rollins would know what that would feel like.
However, the word within WWE and those near Rollins is that he sustained a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus, but it’s not yet known if he will require surgery, though the hope is that he can avoid it.
It is not currently known how WWE will play out the injury on television, or whether it will be downplayed or embellished.
Many within the company have praised Rollins’ toughness and resolve throughout the match and the aftermath.
Rollins is reportedly set to address his injury status on next week’s episode of Raw.
We will provide any further updates on Rollins’ status as they become available.
