Several top stars from IMPACT Wrestling’s past are set for a return for the upcoming 1000 episode celebration, airing on September 14.
The show will be taped on September 9 from the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York, the day after the promotion’s Victory Road pay-per-view event on September 8 from the same arena.
Little is known of the matches expected for the landmark show, however, we do now know of two legendary IMPACT acts that will be returning especially for it.
As announced by IMPACT on Twitter, both Awesome Kong and The Beautiful People (Angelina Love & Velvet Sky) will be returning on September 9.
All three were a massive part of TNA’s knockouts division throughout the 2000s, all winning the Knockouts Championship on several occasions, with Angelina Love in particular holding the title on six different occasions.
Kong would also be recognised for her legacy via an induction into the IMPACT Hall of Fame in 2021.
While Kong and Sky haven’t competed in the ring for years, Love has remained active, most notably competing for the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
