Sheamus Sends Message To GUNTHER Ahead Of WWE TV Return

Former WWE Champion Sheamus has sent a message to former Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER ahead of his WWE TV return.

At WWE WrestleMania 40 Night One, Sami Zayn defeated GUNTHER to end his 666 day reign and win the Intercontinental Championship.

On April 21, WWE announced that “The Ring General” will return to programming on the April 22 edition of Monday Night Raw.

In a reply to GUNTHER promoting his return, former rival and recently returned star Sheamus took to social media to troll the former I.C. Champion. Replying to GUNTHER writing “The General of the Ring is back on #WWERaw,” Sheamus simply wrote:

On the April 15 episode of WWE Raw, Sheamus returned to the company for the first time since August 2023 by defeating Ivar in singles action.

“The Celtic Warrior” had a well regarded rivalry against GUNTHER over the Intercontinental Championship in 2022 and 2023, with memorable matches at Clash at the Castle 2022 and a three-way with Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 39.

Despite their rivalry long being over on TV, Sheamus has continued to troll the Austrian and tease more matches between the two in the future.
