A special edition of WWE Backstage has been announced which will air on FS1 following this coming Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
SmackDown has been shifted onto FS1 this week due to the baseball airing in its usual slot on FOX.
WWE.com writes:
SmackDown moves to FS1 this Friday for one week only at its normal time of 8/7 C due to Game 3 of the 2020 World Series airing on FOX.
Following the action of SmackDown, a special one-hour WWE Backstage will also air on FS1 from the WWE ThunderDome. Then a replay of the earlier edition of the blue brand will re-air at 11/10 C.
Don’t miss all the action of Friday Night SmackDown beginning at 8/7 C on FS1.
Backstage had been a weekly series since the launch of SmackDown on FOX but was cancelled a number of months ago, only returning for special episodes here and there.
The shift for SmackDown this week is a shame because it’s the last show before Hell in a Cell, and when this happened last year it led to a very sizeable decrease in viewers.
