Animated Series Made In Collaboration With Steve Austin Is Reportedly Being Held Up By Peacock & WWE WWE

An animated series written in collaboration with Stone Cold Steve Austin is reportedly being held up from airing by Peacock and WWE.

US stand-up comedian Dan Soder has revealed that he wrote an animated series for Steve Austin with fellow comedian Dan Saint Germain during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show was subsequently purchased by Peacock but has not yet been released. Soder reports that he has attempted to get a release date, but believes Peacock and WWE are holding up the project.

Speaking on KFC Barstool Radio, Dan Soder said:

“…Some bulls**t right now and me saying publicly will kind of push it through, or I’ll just completely f**k the deal. But at this point, I don’t give a f**k. During the pandemic, Dan Saint Germain and I wrote a show with Stone Cold Steve Austin that was a cartoon, and we sold it to Peacock. But now WWE and Peacock are bulls**tting.

It’s been 17 months on the sidelines, and I keep calling these motherf**kers, being like, ‘this is gonna be f**king funny,’ and Stone Cold is like way on board. We’ve developed the show with him, not with the WWE. I used to get Stone Cold calling me. Dude, Stone Cold is in my phone, and he would call me…

“It’s dark and weird (the project). That’s why Stone Cold liked it. He was like, ‘Y’all are funny as hell, man.’ He’s the f**king man. He would just be calling. ‘I was shooting sniper rifles, so what’s going on?’”

It’s unclear exactly what the animated series is about, but it seems the WWE Hall of Famer was involved somehow in its development.

As of current reporting, Steve Austin has not commented on the show or the alleged ‘hold up.’

The WWE Network was acquired by Peacock in January 2021. As well as airing all WWE premium live events and archive material, Peacock also airs Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions.
