The Kingdom, the team of Mike Bennett and Matt Taven, alongside Maria Kanellis, are now officially All Elite.
The trio made their AEW debut on the October 14 episode of AEW Rampage in Toronto, confronting ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR.
Prior to the group’s arrival in the company, there were reports that WWE had shown interest in Matt Taven specifically.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), the entire Kingdom group (Taven, Bennett and Maria) at one point held talks with WWE about coming into the company.
Despite the conversations between the two sides taking place, there were no firm offers in place for the trio, with it being more of a feeling out process between the sides.
A source familiar with the situation noted that both Triple H and Gabe Sapolsky were the points of contact among the three members of the group.
Despite debuting for AEW on October 14, the Kingdom have not yet taken part in a tag team match in the company.
Taven wrestled Wardlow for the AEW TNT Championship in singles action, but ultimately failed in taking home the title.
