The Miz has recently addressed his ACL injury, revealing how long he expects to be on the shelf for before being cleared to wrestle.
After WrestleMania Backlash, it was reported that The Miz suffered a torn ACL during the infamous zombie match. According to The A-Lister, he won’t be out of action for nine months.
Speaking with Forbes, The Miz explained that he thinks his recovery time will be fairly quick. Pointing out that he hadn’t previously publicly discussed his injury, The Miz noted that he doesn’t think he’ll be gone for as long as some reports claim.
Noting that he feels like a million bucks, The Miz said:
“I was looking on Twitter, and then I was looking on the news sites that were talking about my injury, and I’m like ‘first off, how do they know?’ Because I’ve never said anything and they’re saying things wrong, like all wrong. And it’s annoying, I guess you can say, because I heard I was out nine months.
“I don’t expect to be out nine months. As a matter of fact, I was on Monday Night Raw last week and I plan on being on Monday Night Raw next week. Now, when will I have a real match? I don’t know. That’s for the doctors to decide and figure out. But I feel like a million bucks, and the way my headspace is, I don’t like to be gone for long.”
Miz was originally rumored to be on the shelf for between 6 to 9 months. A recent report stated that he won’t be out of action for as long as initially expected, as he reportedly hasn’t undergone any kind of major surgery on his knee.
