The Rock Teases WWE WrestleMania Kickoff Presser ‘Will Be Talked About Forever’ WWE

The Rock has teased that this Thursday’s WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference “will be talked about forever.”

On the February 2 edition of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes seemingly stepped aside for a returning The Rock who confronted Roman Reigns to set up a WrestleMania 40 showdown.

However, this segment was met with a great deal of criticism and online backlash from fans who wanted to see Cody challenge Roman at the Show of Shows.

This backlash was felt during the February 5 episode of WWE Raw when fans chanted “Rocky Sucks” during an in-ring segment featuring Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

On February 7, WWE posted a video of The Rock arriving in Las Vegas for the WrestleMania Kickoff presser where he briefly spoke with cameras. He said:

“Vegas!”

“Welcome to Vegas! I have a feeling this press conference will talked about…forever.”

“Signing off, your long gamer.”

It remains to be seen what matches will be announced for WrestleMania 40 during Thursday’s press conference at the time of this writing.

Seth Rollins recently discussed Cody Rhodes’ decision for WrestleMania and his thoughts on Roman Reigns in a new interview, which you can read here.
