On tonight’s NXT Heatwave (August 22), the daughter of WWE legend The Rock made her singles match debut.

Ava, real name Simone Johnson, took on Ivy Nile in a singles match on Heatwave after having previously competed on television only in multi-person matches as a part of her faction, Schism.

Joe Gacy and the Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid) from the faction watched on at ringside with plenty of masked followers of Schism also in attendance.

In the end, after Ava was unsuccessful in her first singles match as Nile won pretty quickly with the Dragon Sleeper.

In a post-match angle, the masked members of Schism started popping up on the ring apron as Ivy Nile attacked several of them, but after she tried to her her hands on Ava, the latter was carried away from ringside by two masked Schism followers.
