Last night’s main event of AEW Dynamite has been the talk of wrestling since it happened. Thunder Rosa managed to defeat Britt Baker in a brutal Lights Out match. A match people are already calling revolutionary, and one of the best women’s matches in history.
Now, Thunder Rosa has given a passionate interview, saying she showed that women’s wrestling should be valued. Here is the quote, courtesy of Inside the Ropes:
“This means everything to me. As you guys know, I come from nothing. Seven months ago I came here to make a statement. That was to put women’s wrestling on the map. With blood, sweat and tears, I just showed you that women’s wrestling should be valued everywhere, and I’m very, very proud of this. Thank you for everyone for believing in me and the Thunder Army,”
Thunder Rosa was able to win the match after driving Baker through a table at ringside. This came after Baker was busted wide open by a ladder and powerbombed onto thumbtacks.
It remains to be seen what will come next for the two, however, this was seen as the blowoff of their feud.
