Tony Khan ‘Heavily Involved’ In AEW Star’s New Character

Tony Khan is ‘heavily involved’ in the new character of ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm according to the AEW CEO ahead of Full Gear 2023.

On the pre-Full Gear 2023 media call, Khan was asked about the upcoming AEW Women’s World Championship match between Hikaru Shida and ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm.

Given the opportunity to discuss the character pivot, Khan also expanded on the creative process between himself and Storm in crafting her new character.

Sharing that he has worked alongside Storm in the shift of character, he also said that he brought some of the old Hollywood film suggestions to the table, which Storm watched and loved.

Praising her work in completely living her character, Khan continued to deliver high marks for Storm ahead of her AEW Women’s World Championship match on Saturday.

Teasing how the arrival of Mariah May into AEW may fit into Timeless Toni Storm’s storyline, Khan noted that May took longer than expected to arrive but he looked forward to seeing how Full Gear moved the story forward.

Luther is also a part of the the new act, performing as Storm’s ‘butler’.
