AEW President Tony Khan has commented on WWE’s Shinsuke Nakamura appearing for Pro Wrestling NOAH.
On October 30, Pro Wrestling NOAH announced that WWE’s Shinsuke Nakamura will go one-on-one with The Great Muta in his final singles match on January 1, 2023 from the Nippon Budokan.
This created a great deal of buzz among the wrestling community with WWE lightening off their stance against their stars competing in a different promotion.
It also created some questions due to All Elite Wrestling’s working relationship with NOAH.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated ahead of tonight’s AEW Rampage, AEW CEO Tony Khan commented on Nakamura’s NOAH deal.
Khan said:
“Yes. I have no problem with Nakamura working with them. It’s completely cool with us. This is about Muta. It’s great that wrestlers from all over the world can come together and pay tribute to Muta.”
Tonight’s AEW Rampage will take place from Atlantic City, New Jersey and will be headlined by Orange Cassidy defending the All Atlantic Championship against NJPW’s Katsuyori Shibata.
Also, boxing legend “Iron” Mike Tyson will be a special guest on commentary for the show.
Meanwhile, Shinsuke Nakamura has commented on his upcoming NOAH appearance on social media.
